January 14, 2006 A Special Fundraising Event for Word UP!
Christopher Lloyd will be the guest of honor at this year’s Speaking of Stories benefit party for our youth educational program – Word Up. An Afternoon with Christopher Lloyd not only gives us a wonderful opportunity to honor a beloved member of our community but also to showcase the benefits of Word Up to at-risk youth. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for Word Up. We are continuing our tradition of an intimate cocktail party in a private home, and we are so grateful to Dolores & Robert Hanrahan who have offered to host the event on January 14th, from 3:00-6:00. The afternoon will feature some tantalizing entertainment, including an hysterical reading by Joe Spano, Faline England and Charles de L’Arbre.

Tickets: $150 each Sponsor the Party at the $500 level (which includes 2 tickets) Co-Host the party at the $2,500 level (which includes 4 tickets) All proceeds benefit Word Up, Speaking of Stories education program for at-risk and incarcerated youth Word up uses the spoken word as a catalyst to encourage self-expression and a sense of belonging while improving literacy and self-confidence.
