JEFF MILLS

Jeff has worked professionally as an actor, director and teacher for over twenty years. He is a core member of BOXTALES Theatre Company with whom he co-devised numerous original productions including OM: An Indian Tale of Good and Evil and The Odyssey, in which he played Odysseus. He has worked extensively with Shakespeare Santa Barbara where he directed Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing and acted in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Taming of the Shrew and As You Like It. He originated the role of Hank in Dramatic Women’s Bedtime in Detroit and played Katurian and Ellis respectively in Genesis West’s productions of The Pillowman and Curse of the Starving Class. Jeff holds an MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver and has performed with the Denver Center Theatre Company, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, American Folklore Theatre in Door County Wisconsin, Aha! Theater Company in Seattle and PCPA Theaterfest in Santa Maria. In 2005 Jeff appeared on film as Tristan in Bill Viola’s and Peter Sellars’ production of Tristan and Isolde at the Opera National in Paris, France, the Lincoln Center and the Disney Concert Hall. Jeff currently teaches movement for actors at UC Santa Barbara.
