JAY THOMAS

Jay Thomas is a two time Emmy award winner for his work as Jerry Gold on Murphy Brown. He is also remembered as the “zamboni smushed hockey player,  “Eddie Lebec”, on Cheers. He co-­starred with Annie Potts for three seasons on CBS Tvs Love and War. Jay has succumbed        to a number of diseases and ishaps in a dozen or so movies of the week. He’s also been seen On law and Order. Ed. and in the critically acclaimed TNT movie, Monday Night Mayhem, opposite John Tatauro.

On film he garnered a Golden Globe nomination for his work with Richard Dreyfus in Mr. Holland's Opus. Most recently he has been a buddy to Greg Kinnear, Kevin Costner and Tim Allen in a Smile Like Yours, Dragonfly and Santa Clause Two, respectively.

Jay has been a stage actor in New York and LA. He was Awarded “Best in the Fest” at the Aspen Comedy Festival for his performance in the Alan Swibel one act, “Play Ball” this summer. Jay co-starred in Woody Allen’s written and directed play, Writer's Block at New York’s Atlantic Theatre.

Jay has also been known to talk on the radio in New York and LA From time to time.
