MILLER JAMES

Miller James has played such varied characters as Harlequin, Long John Silver, Petruchio, Faun Tumnus, and Gentleman Starkey in Peter Pan. He played Peachy in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and stepped in for Billy in The Real Thing for Ensemble Theatre Company. Miller was involved with the former Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera where he played James Wilson in 1776, and was seen in Show Boat and Meet Me in St. Louis as well as serving as a Monologist for The Santa Barbara Symphony. He was thrilled to read for Speaking of Stories in the Fall at the Maritime Museum. Miller works on the artistic staff for Opera Santa Barbara where he directed Hansel and Gretel, Magic Flute, and Pirates of Penzance. Other directing credits include, Leanard Bernstein's Peter Pan, Amahl and the Night Visitors, All in the Timing, Misdummer, Annie, The Diviners and over 20 productions for Ensemble's Storybook Theatre. Miller lives locally with his wife, Maija, 10 year old daughter, Tessa, and 7 year old twin boys, Jakob and Andrew.
