JAMES READ

James Read has a long list of television, feature film and stage credits including starring roles in feature films like Beaches, Eight Men Out, Love Crimes and Walking Thunder, and numerous television miniseries and movies including North & South, Harvest of Fire, Full Circle, The Other Woman, and Poor Little Rich Girl.  His first job in television was as a series regular on Remington Steele, and he later starred in the CBS series Shell Game. More recently he was featured as the martini-swilling Dad in Legally Blonde, and currently he can be seen playing recurring roles on two different television series -  Charmed and American Dreams.  He will also be appearing in the feature A Lot Like Love starring Ashton Kutcher, to be released this spring.

James’ first appearance with Speaking of Stories was in the Speaking of Fathers benefit in 2002.  He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Wendy, and their two children.
