Mr. Frey is a native of Mexico.
The Gatekeeper marks John's directorial
debut in film. This is also Mr. Frey’s first screenplay. He has felt so strongly about the subject matter raised by the film that he has financed the
entire project out of his own pocket. He has directed to great success numerous live theatre presentations as well as being an accomplished actor in
theatre, television, and film. Notable performances include: The Practice,
Days of Our Lives, Married With Children, JAG, Weird
Science, Party of Five and Freaky Friday among others.
