Speaking of Stories takes you back to the magic of bedtime stories with a performance of classic fairy tales brought to life. Artistic Director
Maggie Mixsell and long-time Santa Barbara theater legend George Backman have collaborated on this has entertaining journey for all ages. Mr. Backman will be joined on stage by a stellar cast including
Christina Allison,
Emma-Jane Huerta and
John
Knox-Johnston. The Sweet Dreams will include stories by Hans Christian Andersen, Roald Dahl, Carol Ann Duffy, Rose
Fyleman, Rudyard Kipling, Edward Lear and A.A. Milne. The intimate setting of Center Stage creates the perfect atmosphere for our
nostalgic journey back to bedtime stories, complete with cookies and milk at intermission.
Sweet Dreams performs Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm with a special 2pm matinee on Saturday creating a perfect afternoon outing with your favorite young story fan.
Don't be fooled, these stories are truly intended for all ages and will remind you how classics like Snow White and Cinderella really began, before Disney took them for a spin.

Sweet Dreams plays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday October 3rd and at 2:00 and 7:30 on Saturday October 4th, at the Center Stage Theater, 751 Paseo Nuevo, in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Box Office hours are Wednesday through Friday 12:00 noon to 5 p.m. and 1 hour before all shows. Tickets are $10 for children 12 and under, $15 for Students and $18 General Admission.
