STEVE STERN

Widely appreciated in his home state, author Steve Stern has been awarded the a grant from the Tennessee Literary Arts Association and has been a fellow at the Tennessee Arts Commission. He now lives in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he writes and serves as a visiting university lecturer. He attended Rhodes College and received his MFA from the University of Arkansas. Stern was born in Memphis, Tennessee.

Works include, The Moon & Ruben Shein (1984), Harry Kaplan's Adventures Underground (1991), Isaac and the Undertaker's Daughter (1983), Lazar Malkin Enters Heaven (1986), A Plague of Dreamers (1994), The Wedding Jester (1994) and for young adults: Mickey & the Golem (1985) & Hershel & the Beast (1987).
