LYNNA WILLIAMS

Lynna Williams – Williams studied journalism at the University of Missouri, and received her MFA in fiction writing from George Mason University. Her fiction has appeared in The Atlantic Monthly and The Oxford American, and she’s won the Loft-McKnight Prize for short fiction, a Loft Mentor Series Prize, and was awarded the Dobie-Paisano Fellowship from the University of Texas. Her first short story collection, Things Not Seen and Other Stories, was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. She has also published poetry and creative non-fiction, and her essay, “We Told You That, Didn’t We?” won the first Lamar York Prize for Non-Fiction from the Chattahoochee Review. Williams is a former political reporter and speechwriter, and now teaches creative writing at Emory University.
