KAREN KARBO

Karen Karbo’s three novels, including Motherhood Made a Man Out of Me, have all been named New York Times Notable Books of the Year. She is the recipient of an NEA grant and a past winner of a General Electric younger Writer Award. Her most recent work, Generation Ex: Tales from the Second Wives Club, a cultural memoir of divorce, was recently published in paperback, and her memoir The Stuff of Life about the last year of her father’s life, will be published this fall. Her nonfiction, essays, and reviews have appeared in Vogue, Elle, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, Fast Company, the New Republic, and Sports Illustrated for Women. She lives in Portland , Oregon .
