EONA MACNICOL

Eona Macnicol, born in Inverness , she was a graduate of Edinburgh University , a teacher, a minister's wife and a distinguished authoress. She researched the life of St. Columba in Dublin , from which work she embarked on a trilogy of novels based on the life of Columba. She wrote in a wide variety of genres and was widely published. She taught in Kalimpong among the foothills of the Himalaya and in the Women's Christian College in Madras .
