DAVE BARRY

Dave Barry (1947– )- A humor columnist for the Miami Herald, Barry has written 24 books, including Tricky Business (2002), Big Trouble (1999), and Dave Barry Turns 50 (1999). His column appears in over 500 newspapers in the United States and abroad, and in 1988 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. He plays lead guitar for the literary rock band Rock Bottom Remainders, whose other members include Stephen King, Amy Tam, Ridley Pearson and Mitch Albom. Currently living in Miami with his wife and two children, Barry claims to be a candidate for president of the United States. If elected, his highest priority will be to seek the death penalty for whoever is responsible for making Americans install low-flow toilets.
