ANGELES MASTRETTA

Mexican Author, Angeles Mastretta, was born in Puebla . A licensed journalist, she published her first novel Arráncame la vida in1985 which was successful both critically and commercially. She followed this with Mujeres de ojos grandes in 1995 and Mal de amores in 1997 for which she received the prestigious Rómulo Gallegos award. Angeles belongs to the National School of Political Studies of Acatlán and collaborates with magazines Nexos, Excelsior, Unomásuno, La Jornada, Proceso and Ovaciones.
